I first saw this boat the very first morning after Bill and I 'washed ashore' on the Island. It was right down on the Lagoon Pond, sitting where the tide left it, and I love the lines of the boat, the paint colors, and the way it glowed in the cool and foggy light. The scene stayed in my mind, and I visited the area time and again, eventually rendering the memory in paint.
