The Thalia Theater was built in Lodz, Poland in 1882, and operated under many names: Redutowa, Splendid, Roxy, Europa, and Baltyk. As the Splendid, the theater transitioned to film and offered Lodz's first talking pictures. The building is still standing but not operational, and no longer appears as originally built due to renovations.
