Espresso, anyone? This piece was inspired by the morning coffee ritual I developed while living and traveling in Europe. I have an appreciation for the aroma of freshly ground coffee and the technique of preparing a hot cup by hand. I find the experience centers me and gives me a moment of quiet reflection within a busy day. As I layered the components of this collage, I had fun incorporating food packaging of different varieties. In particular, I included just a few of my favorite things: coffee, chocolate and a splash of red wine.
