In recent years, our parks and natural lands are dotted with cell towers, power lines and other utilities that we humans have become increasingly reliant upon. This is our new landscape, even in rural areas where we often choose to escape the hubbub of urban life. My paintings reflect this new reality. I hope in some ways these paintings are beautiful, but in other ways I hope they bring up a sense of unease as they reflect the reality of our modern lives.
