This cheerful piece began as a black ink drawing of my signature Footnotes characters—each one full of charm and personality. I scanned and printed the outline onto archival paper, then brought them to life by hand-coloring their bodies using a mix of media like colored pencils, markers, colored inks, and more. Then I added their facial expressions, arms, and legs with a waterproof market.

No two are ever the same—each finished piece is an original, infused with its own unique expression and energy.

There are dozens of one-of-a-kind versions to choose from, and custom commissions are available if you’d like your own special piece in a specific color palette, size, or medium.

This artwork is printed at 5"x7" and comes matted to 8"x10", ready to frame. A beautifully framed version is also available, with a finished size of approximately 9.5"x11.5".
