Words and Leaves
Words and leaves fall softly to the ground /
expecting many a tale shall linger /
articulated, yet unheard /
and largely vanished from the air/
They come with all the importance that they can muster/
Then fall, fade and quibble out the door/
Still, life clings to what remains/
Or does not /
in settlement with the wind/

The most recent completed work by Haddaway, Tower of Words and Leaves, he describes as an esoteric comparison of words and leaves and their fleeting existence. Most words in everyday usage and all leaves last but a short time, and then they are gone. Yet, they are essential to life and the relationships we develop. There are also some words and arrangements of words that are timeless, thanks to the invention of paper and books. Typewriters are the tools of the writer's trade.
