"Trying to be human" is a collection that features life forms attempting to blend in with human society by trying on appendages - arms, legs, and genitals. Despite their understanding of human anatomy, they often (mis)assemble mix and match body parts. The conversations and relationships they attempt to have using their newfound language skills are at once arbitrary, guileless, and familiar.
