Mapping Giotto is a series of mixed media collagraph prints of imaginary color spaces. Struck by an overwhelming sense of the sacred when visiting the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi, I questioned how a perceptual experience translates into a non-religious conception of the transcendent. Geometric forms reference the quirky perspectives in the stage-like settings of the proto-Renaissance art of Giotto and Cimabue. Collagraph printing plates, shaped and incised with geometric forms, are printed in various combinations. Mixed media is then applied to the grounds to resolve the images. The resulting works reference sensory memory using color, transparency, and texture to evoke an experience of place.

Marks' artworks have been exhibited in France, Scotland, the Dominican Republic, Greece, and the Netherlands. She has had numerous exhibitions across the United States. Her paintings are in several collections, including The Tucson Museum of Art; IBM; Tokyo Ana Hotel; Florence Griswold Museum; Benziger Winery; Pabst Brewing Corporation; Singapore Sheraton Hotel; and the Colorado Sangre de Cristo Art Center. In 1994, Marks was awarded an honorarium and purchase prize for her multi-paneled artwork, "Healing," on permanent display at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Library in Tucson.
