"The rhizome is the book that relates the world, but it is also the world that spawns the book that tells about the world, and it is also the toolbox by which the world can transform itself into a book."1 The mosaic of visual and textual images in the photograph obeys rhizome theory, 2 a practice underlain by the principle that reality is like a network structure or a web comprising a series of interconnected objects which intersect at nodes or plateaus. The multiplicity of combinations produces a more intricate web within which metamorphoses occur. The drawing-like formulation of the processed photograph juxtaposes different places, cultures, and times along a single continuum: the original mosaic floor from ancient Sepphoris depicting a young Roman woman is combined in the work with a sketch extracted
from Adrichome's map, the portrait of the artist taken deep inside an archive library in Classical Greece, and a poetic text by Yoram Meltzer, written as an authentic dialogue with the visual images. Against the azure backdrop of the Dead Sea, The Mirror of Time unfolds and reflects the world as a continuous
leafing in a historical atlas.

של אובייקטים המקושרים ביניהם ונפגשים בצמתים. ריבוי הצירופים יוצר רשת מורכבת יותר, ובתוכה מתחוללים שינויים ומטמורפוזות. הניסוח הרישומי של התצלום המעובד, מציב יחדיו על רצף מקומות, תרבויות וזמנים, את פסיפס הנערה הרומית מן המוזאיקה המקורית שבציפורי, משולב עם תרשים ממפת אדריכום, את דיוקן האמנית מצולמת בלב ספריית ארכיון
ביוון הקלאסית, ואת הטקסט הפואטי של הסופר יורם מלצר בגוף העבודה. הטקסט נכתב כדיאלוג אותנטי עם הדימויים החזותיים. על רקע התכלת של ים המלח', מראת הזמן' פורשת ומשקפת את העולם, כרצף המשכי של דפדוף באטלס .היסטורי
