'Fulfilling in Space, for the future to come',
As a multi layered photograph printed on silver aluminum board, and on top of it with space in between,
another photograph printed on transparent Plexiglas, show the essence of linguistic metaphors that are
manifested, highlighting the ideas that the possible value of photography as art in the digital era is that of
perception – correspondence with the cultural space of other creative thinkers in the realms of literature,
cutting-edge scientific research, and philosophical texts as sources of conceptual inspiration. Specifically
the collaboration with the author Ioram Melcer, encapsulating his poetic text written as correspondence
with my images.
Personal and collective memories have an important role as the
infrastructure of Ioram Melcer's poetic text. Distant at past time, yet relevant to the present events and
future prospective - historical metaphoric memories of the whole region are depicted.
"For everything we do is for Future’s sake, planting findings for
the archaeologists to come"
………
" It allows for the architect’s light table and the ancient maps laid on it, a
memory of another country, of a town which is no more, of a culture which disappeared"
…………
"The map is a coat of mails, many times scarred, so onwards to
the future, the past is still ahead of us, so said the Lady"
