MessageJune 21 [1982 postcard to husband, Robert Phelps]
Dearheart, Greek places yesterday. The sites, the miracle of wildflowers (with con-commitant aroma) great olive trees, pale ochre + umbre intense green + hot sky make the occasion. The old guide said “Agrigento is my Jerusalem.” We had air conditioning + slept well. The heat’s an alligator. We drink wine + acqua Minerale.
