To move with such economy and ease demonstrates years of repetition and a sense of peace, oblivious to the pandemonium surrounding him. This is mimicked by the seagull waiting, focusing on the fisherman. Painting the solid faded boat with the reflection as the most colorful part of the painting as if it were a memory of when the boat and man were much younger and less weathered.
