  • Artist: Peter Worth (1917-2010)

Born in Suffolk, England and a student at the Royal College of Art in London, Peter Worth was a sculptor of finely crafted wood, painter of geometric abstraction, photographer and teacher of art and art history at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln from 1948 to 1987. He also chaired that department for ten years.

Before finishing his art degree at the Royal College and then coming to America, Worth served in the British military drafting blueprints for construction projects.

Worth and his wife Inge were married nearly forty-five years and traveled extensively and built a collection of modernist furnishings for their Nebraska home.
