When I am working, I like to listen to music from different parts of the world. In African music, particularly West African, women’s voices are a driving force. They like singing together with or without musical instruments. Having five singers in this group is just my choice. There could always be more or fewer singers. What inspires me is their harmony. Harmony is a team effort; it moves with the breath, the wind, the water, and the action. I like to see it when I feel it.
