Title - “Beauty Marks”
This is my newest piece in my “Imperfectly Perfect” Collection. This piece embraces the uniqueness of humanity. Then celebrates the “beauty marks” that make each individual person who they are by their faith, race or culture as they endure trials and healing in life.
My love for the coast and sea glass shines through in this piece displayed in my chosen colors. The colors inspired by the blues and greens of the ocean. As well as the browns and golds of natural elements found on the coastal shores.
Much of my work is spiritually inspired then I choose to see the connection between nature and the human spirit displaying that in different mediums and techniques.
The ancient Japanese Art of Kintsugi is at the heart of my art making and is represented using fine metallic gold to represent healing and value of the subject.
Ultimately finding the beauty in brokenness.
