I thought it would be fun to use the Coastal Impressions and apply it to a "noncoastal" subject. Although the meaning of this water lily is "peace", it goes well with how my soul is at rest when I am at the shore.
"Afternoon Waterlily" is a 4" x 6" ink work on paper, incorporating the art of kintsugi using fine gold acrylic.
In the fullness of the light, all things are exposed, the afternoon waterlily speaks of purity and peace. Whether sheltered or fully exposed on the beach under the scorching sun, there is a sense of oneness with the Creator of this great land, ocean, and sky! There is a vastness of the sky and water for as far as the eye can see. It doesn't take much at the coast to realize you are a part of a MUCH BIGGER PLAN!
The heavily saturated areas of walnut ink propel us to a deeper place. A meditative piece that is sure to stir the imagination and soul to a place of wonder and purity.
Framed in a 4" x 6" mdf brushed nickel frame, included in purchase.
