A glimpse into her life's journey, Diane’s paintings weave a tale of overcoming life’s detours and a deep connection with the world around her.
MessageJapanese gardens have always been synonymous with serenity and rejuvenation of the spirit. The tranquil sound of the water falling over the rocks brings the mind to a meditative being. A peaceful place where thoughts disappear, only to be rediscovered with more clarity. Being among the trees and greenery is also a healing experience for the mind, body and soul.
This painting was inspired by my own backyard garden waterfall. I sent many days sitting by the small waterfall lost in my thoughts. One day a huge crane flew past my shoulder. The sounds of the splashing water brought much wildlife around. I saw deer, squirrels, chipmunks, wild turkey, a blue heron, and birds of all description seeking solace in the forest by the soothingly cool waters, even on the hottest of summer days in Atlanta, GA.
