A glimpse into her life's journey, Diane’s paintings weave a tale of overcoming life’s detours and a deep connection with the world around her.
MessageGardening is beneficial to the mind, body and soul. If you get a chance, you should get your hands dirty as often as possible.
Teach the little ones to play in the garden. Watching their seeds turn to plants, or small plants grow larger is very exciting for children.
My own perennial flower garden was the inspiration behind this painting. I got a bit obsessive, and bought grow lights for my basement to start my seeds during the winter. By spring they were strong enough to go into the garden.
While I was busy planting, my husband built the brick paths. I planted the garden in front of grapevines that were present when we moved into the home.
I started out with each bed being a specific color. Of course, the birds had a mind of their own and dropped seeds around the beds helter skelter. It was a beautiful garden, even with the volunteers.
This oil painting would look lovely on your own wall at home, as a friendly and colorful reminder to get outside.
