"Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it." (Ernest Holmes)
We are what we think. A friend told me recently that he always makes the wrong decisions. Always? I asked. And who says wrong? Well not always obviously, he replies, but many times. And wrong because I am not happy with the result, he said.
He is a good person. And does not think so. He always plans problems and thinks of what can go wrong.
And the problems knock on his door. Everytime.
This is how the universe works. And, the good thing: it works the other way around, too.
Think about what you want in life and dive into this picture, make it big and bold and colorful and turn it into moving pictures. Listen to the laughter, smell the fresh air and feel the joy radiating from it.
And life will mirror it.
My painting “Mirror” was inspired by the story of that friend and my own mirror image emerged from the colorful, contrasting layers of acrylic paint, ink and charcoal. On your wall, it reminds you to think about what you think.
