On Sep. 1, Happy Hippo went into the garden to admire all the beautiful white rosebushes that were bursting with flowers and buds. Wait, he thought, this is September, how can the roses be blooming now? Stepping outside you could inhale the wonderful special fragrance. The amazing thing is that the rosebushes have been flowering since before Midsummer here in our Nordic country, which is most unusual since the roses usually wither away after a month or so. Pondering what might have happened, Hippo concluded that the warm summer is the cause for the prolonged flowering season. Hippo is happy for many reasons and this was just another reason to enjoy life in the North.
