In Lonely Lily, I wanted to show the quiet beauty of a single pink water lily resting near the lily pads on a still lake. The flower seemed alone, but there was something graceful and peaceful about the way it held its place.

I was drawn to the simplicity of the scene—the calm water, the surrounding leaves, and the soft presence of one flower standing apart. That gentle sense of solitude is what made me want to paint it.
