Part of my new Pastel Series. The beautiful Hydrangeas that were in Harvey's Garden were made on a lovely day painting En Plein Air with a group of fellow artists. The red was used as a background to complement the greens and a foil for the light Pinky Hydrangeas. I wanted to recreate the beautiful energy and liveliness of the scene and atmosphere.
