Not interested in political subjects, in 2018 when this painting is created, I could not help be be involved. A best friend for so many years would not speak with me any longer if I did not discuss politics. In this painting the whale turns away from conflict. I wanted the whale to remain peaceful so I imagined it had exhaled and floated down and away from the antagonist Poseidon. The missed encounter is suggested by the circle of life with the sun shining in concentric circular pattern of fibonacci .
