The location is in Los Alamos, NM. Heat had been building up all week there and my goal was to paint on location early in the morning. I did not quite make the time so I was painting in high heat late in the morning for 2 days. I was inspired and I kept with it to completion on location. It won best of show for Los Alamos plein air competition.
