'Mountain Summer Lake Sailing' is an original oil palette knife painting on canvas creating a feeling of depth because of the heavy texture on ¾” thick gallery wrapped canvas. hand signed by the artist. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

"I am American Impressionist Painter, Karen Tarlton - painting with a unique sense of color, texture and light. The palette knife, allow me to stay loose, merging colors and sculpting wet paint into a dynamic final product. My paintings take on a multi-dimensional form and are easily recognized for their use of heavy-texture and bold colors to emphasize nature’s spontaneity and beauty in a modern, abstract way.
More about my work:
No two of my oil paintings are alike. Each one is painted from my heart with love and soul. Here you will find my unique palette knife paintings and prints of my paintings. I create lively, engaging, colorful art, and my work is widely collected across the globe.

"Recognized for my paintings of angels and children in motion in my unique style, I use a palette knife to build energetic layers of color. I paint with the palette knife because it gives me the opportunity to interact with paint in a very tangible, expressionistic way. Using a knife in this way allows the paint to stand out and create a lively and impressionistic work. The surfaces of my paintings are very tactile, sometimes resembling a mosaic of palette knife strokes.

As of 2000, I have been creating a new painting almost every day. My artwork brings birds, cows, horses, flowers, and my unique angels to life. Landscapes, cityscapes, and boat-filled harbors become illuminated by majestic, textured light. I strive to infuse my paintings with energy, intimacy and brilliant color.

My work is collected in galleries and private and corporate collections worldwide. Collectors in many countries, including the United States, Sweden, Malta, France, Italy, England, Ireland, Spain, Japan, Canada, Greece, Australia, and Singapore collect my work. I am currently licensed with companies such as Uptown Art, All My Walls, Dianoche Designs, AFrame Audio, and others who sell images of my artwork on blankets, towels, rugs, or illuminated canvas and metal. You may find my art reproduced by these companies on sites such as Wayfair, Houzz, One King's Lane, or Amazon, to name just a few. "
