Michael Rozenvain was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1963. He went to art school in Kiev and completed his studies at the Academy of Decorative Art. Following the political upheaval and the collapse of the USSR, Rozenvain emigrated to Israel in 1990 where he has achieved widespread acclaim for his numerous one man shows and exhibitions. Michael has also contributed large murals and decorative elements to public buildings, as well as monumental displays in hotels and libraries.

Rozenvain applies many layers of paint, thus creating the illusion of depth through his highly textured canvas. His sense of composition, agile palette knife strokes, vibrant colors and comfort with a wide array of subjects are all elements that make a Michael Rozenvain painting immediately recognizable. His use of palette reflections, combining several colors on the palette knife at once, are a highlight of his engaging works. This distinguished artist and has become famous worldwide.
