See the sea, is an 80cm square acrylic painting on a wooden board. In this work, I wanted to explore the expansive feeling of a landscape, particularly the tranquil boundary where sky meets land.

I've used flowing layers of cool blues and soft teals in the upper section to evoke the vastness of an open sky or calm water. This gradually transitions into the warmer, sandy tones in the middle, which for me, represent the subtle shifts of a coastline or a sun-drenched earth. In the foreground, I built up richer orange and brown hues, adding distinct textures and vertical marks to give it depth and a sense of grounding.

My aim was to create an abstract piece that still carries the essence and serenity of a natural vista, inviting the viewer to find their own quiet space within its colours and forms.
