A young girl dressed in white, reclining on a couch. Girls dressed all in white indicate that they have taken a one-year vow to Santerìa, a religion that originated in the Caribbean. It begins with a weeklong initiation that culminates in a celebration where they offer gifts to the female divinities and then join the religious community.
