A cholita, part of the team of president Evo Morales. The President, Evo Morales, decided at the beginning of the year (2010) that 50% of deputies in Parliament had to be women. In the traditional machista latin American society more consideration is now given to the position of women. This is due to Evo but also to a change in people’s mentality. Women are now seen as playing a part throughout society, not just in the home.

Good examples are politicians like Martha, Bertha Beatriz Acarapi but also Emiliana Aisa who are involved locally and nationally.
