Desert landscapes have held an important rotation in my series work for over 50 years. This painting is a seminal example from my High Desert series. It was inspired by historic photo references I collected near Pearblossom California in the 80’s. That ageless landscape has since been overtaken by urban development that can be seen dotted all throughout that region. Artists have a unique opportunity to preserve and celebrate pristine historic views.
