Autumn in the southwest brings the vibrant golden blooms of the Chamisa that add spectacular color to the desert. This location was within a few miles from my studio, though now the area has been replaced by a new housing development. We sometimes unwittingly provide a historic record of the natural landscape before it is transformed around us.
