Like a two sided coin, this sculpture is painted on both sides. In gray monochrome Jesus is stripped bare and crucified. The crucified ones are used by ancient Imperial Rome as fear propaganda. Yet, Caesar's intended message is reversed, for this is Jesus' glory, as God identifies with and experiences the reality of mortality. But on the other side... is resurrection! Color and energy replace the gray of death. In procession, it leads the way into a space of unity through liturgy in worship and praise of God.
