Full Moon Over Austin by Dan Terry Image: This Austin skyline citiscape shows the influence and inspiration of Vincent Van Gogh stylistically while incorporating the artist's recurring theme of making visible the invisible dynamic energy in waves both in the water and sky above. The view is from the south shore of Lady Bird Lake just west of the Congress Avenue bridge looking north toward the capital with the iconic Frost Tower with it's glowing peaked tower of glass under a blue full moon. This is an original acrylic on canvas gallery wrapped impasto painting with painted edges, completed in 2015.
