This sculpture emulates the motion in a golden spiral, with a figure emerging from a slab while forming its own protective shell from the remnants. It is a model for a public work that can be interacted with - one can climb on it, or hang from the inside. It was designed to be placed on adjacent to water. One can view the water through the sculpture or view the reflections of sunlight on the steel from different angles.
The figure is frozen in a horizontal position and, if created on a large scale, would only be apparent when standing underneath and looking up, or by looking down at the shadow cast on the ground.
