A good friend gave me these antique hydrometers before moving from New York City to Perth Australia with her boyfriend. In 2012, they married and came to New York City to host a wedding reception at Grand Central's "Campbell Apartment" cocktail lounge. Wanting to give them something unique as a wedding gift, I handcrafted this wall-hanging shadowbox from an antique wooden crate that had the writing "42-lb Fancy Pack" painted on the side (hence the title). Mounted inside are the same antique hydrometers she originally gave me, returned as one-of-a-kind framed art.
