Vanesa explores the body and the landscape as bearers of memory. Through portraits that merge the intimate and the collective, faces emerge that contain geographies, stories, and emotions. The images, conceived as cartographies of remembrance, employ double visual exposure to intertwine biography and territory. In this convergence, the face becomes landscape and the landscape becomes embodied memory, dissolving the boundaries between the human and the material.
