Fernando Da Silva was born in Uruguay and moved with his family to New Haven, Connecticut, in 1984. Growing up between cultures, he developed a deep and early interest in the arts that continued into adulthood. Though trained in graphic design, Da Silva has always maintained painting and drawing as the core of his creative practice. His work blends contemporary and traditional influences, drawing on movements such as synthetism, constructivism, and impressionism while reinterpreting them in a modern context. Through this fusion, he creates pieces that carry a sense of nostalgia while engaging with the present. In addition to visual art, Da Silva’s creative expression extends to music, reflecting a lifelong dedication to artistic exploration.
