“My works is about the feeling of FREEDOM, which can only be achieved if we actively seek it.
Nature and landscape are always the starting point, although many appear as abstract quotes. I am an tireless observer of what surrounds me; I take photos and consult images I have saved.
Sometimes, I need to build my own unconventional tools or supports. Before I start painting, I close my eyes and imagine those landscapes. In this way, certain fragments, such as a tree branch or a cluster of leaves, can gain more significance, enlarge, hide, or hint at themselves, transforming into free and expressive strokes that synthesize into a sensitive stain.
I seek the beauty of imperfection, of the unfinished, and the voids, so that those who observe them can complete them with their experiences and imagination.
The feeling of FREEDOM doesn’t mean being free, but feeling free, light-hearted, having certainties, getting excited about details, and being happy.
