Artist Statement:
Dreaming in Color
When I close my eyes, I see vibrant colors moving and changing.
I love the adventure of mixing oil paint. I use my brush and palette knife to apply paint often blending it on the canvas. The suppleness and brilliance of the oil paint allows the colors of my dreams to become reality.
Working with nature as inspiration, I create abstract landscape paintings with spontaneous, expressive gestures. The work is about place and reflection transcending into abstraction allowing the viewer to travel wherever the painting takes them.
May viewing these paintings allow you to dream in color.
