Artist Statement:

"Persisting With Attitude is a totem symbolizing the spirit of a marginalized woman who perserveres against all odd to claim her place and what attitude that struggle requires.

My goal is to create a series of totems that embodies the spirit of marginalized women of all ethnicities. No particular race is implied. The viewer is encouraged to question and to imbue this totem with their own thoughts, their own preconceived notions, their ideas and their hope."
