Artist Statement:

"Creating self-portraits allows me to search the depths of personal emotions and ponder identity. The canvas becomes a vessel through which exploration of the cavalcade of conflicting emotions rise and fall. My process of stripping away paint parallels the removal of filters that shield an honest portrayal of self. As always, art-making becomes a path to growth, awareness and connection, threads of individuality find strength as they are woven together to form humanity."
