"My background has always involved telling stories of people, of places, of events. When I moved to Virginia in 2021, I turned my eye, and my camera, toward the Chesapeake Bay. My images explore the fragility of this beautiful space as she reaches a critical moment. She suffers from pollutants both large and small. She is directly impacted by the rising seas of climate change. My work seeks to share the story of this beautiful and threatened place." - Sue Mangan
