An internationally acclaimed conservation artist in Hawai’i, Calley is a passionate voice for nature. A summa cum laude graduate from Pratt Institute with a Master's in Social Ecology from Goddard, Calley collaborated with the extraordinary abstract expressionist, RAMA THE ELEPHANT, with his Oregon zookeeper JEB BARSH for five years.
Calley was invited to present THE RAMA EXHIBITION WORLD PREMIERE at the IUCN WORLD CONSERVATION CONGRESS, 2016, Planet at the Crossroads, culminating in their groundbreaking interspecies collaboration. THE RAMA EXHIBITION WORLD PREMIERE reached 10,000 conservation leaders from 192 nations who came together to protect and preserve the natural world. This was the most critical summit on nature ever convened and the first time in IUCN's 70-year history it was hosted by the US. The RAMA premiere was a smashing success, applauded by conservationists worldwide, including Calley's heroes, E. O. Wilson, Jane Goodall, Sylvia Earle, and hundreds of delegates.
