I painted this young girl several times in various poses. Each time I am captivated by her delicate expression of grace and beauty. I relied on the elements of simplicity and balance in the painting to emphasize a tangible feeling of serenity; a peace that is found in quietude and stillness. The larger size canvas (30 x 24)  gives her a sense of presence and significance in a room, drawing the viewer into her world.
