I love the grace of a ballerina. I have wanted to paint one for a long time. Because I love to experiment, I choose to use an unusual material to create this piece. The ballerina is made with steel shavings/dust. I spray a solution on the dust, and it instantly creates rust. The "bleeding" of the rust creates an extra dynamic to the overall look. I finished it with a light wash of pink and made a custom steel frame for it.
