The bullfinch is an example of a cross-country eventing fence. åÊMade of a solid base with brush on top, it is similar to a hurdle in that it is designed to be jumped through rather than over. Due to the height of the brush, the horse cannot see through to the other side. åÊTherefore, the fence tests the horse‰Ûªs trust in his rider, as he does not know what he is jumping into on the other side.
