A descendant of the great trainers who founded theåÊEnglish Racing ColonyåÊinåÊChantilly, Oise, Head's grandfather was aåÊjockey-turned-trainer, as was his fatheråÊWilliam HeadåÊwho was a very successful jockey, trainer, and owner in bothåÊflat racingåÊandåÊsteeplechaseåÊevents. åÊOver the years he and his wife Ghislaine developed Haras du Quesnay into one of the leading stud farms in France with horses acquired from acrossåÊEuropeåÊand theåÊUnited States.
