The waters of the Danube flow into the Black Sea forming the largest and best preserved of Europe’s deltas. It has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Danube Delta hosts over 300 species of birds as well as 45 freshwater fish species. In June 2023, we traveled for a week in a small motor boat all the way to the Black Sea and about 4 miles from Ukraine.
