“Mother nature is pretty amazing at creating some extremely beautiful moments and, being lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time from time to time, I am able to capture these in the photos I take. This could be flowers I pass walking down the street that catch my eye or a naturistic scene on a trip to a park that takes my breath. Photography allows me to then share these moments with others that may not be present, for a common experience. A total novice photographer, I have been lucky in capturing some pretty great scenes which pepper my walls in my office and at home. Looking at these captured moments, personally, lets me escape for an instant and transport back to the feelings I had in the time the photo was taken. Photos can trigger strong emotions within others that view them as well – that is why our Emergency Department and the Hospital System, via CPAM, are genius for using photography as a medium for escape along the hallways and waiting rooms of this sometimes very stressful environment. Joy captured, joy shared.”
