I was born in Warrnambool, Victoria in 1960. I completed my schooling there, spending many hours at the beach surfing and enjoying the coastal lifestyle. At school my passion for art and photography began. This passion led me into visual merchandising where I started my working career. I began to find interest in the medium of film photography which I was able to tie back into my visual merchandising work. I spent many years learning and perfecting my craft and am a very passionate self-taught photographer albeit now, in the digital world.

Only in the past 10 years have I been able to dedicate the majority of my time to photography. I’ve always been known as a story teller and I now use my images as the mouth piece for my story telling. I find photography to be the best documentary device as it accurately portrays a moment in time, which in turn lasts forever. My curiosity for capturing these moments in time have taken me from the beaches of my hometown in Warrnambool to famous rivers such as the Ganges and the Mekong. Also the remote villages of Papua New Guinea and the picturesque landscapes of New Zealand.

My aim is to travel the world and in so doing reflect on the people and places that inspire me through photographic documentation of the lives and surrounds of those I meet along the way. I aim to able to share these experiences vicariously with those who view my work.
